Churma ke laddu | ગુજરાતી ચુરમા નાં લાડવા


Churma Ladoo/Ladva is a famous sweet in gujarati as well as rajasthani cuisine. The main ingredients are wheat flour, desi ghee and jaggery (Brown Sugar). We make Churma Ladoo during Ganesh Chauth (Ganesh Chaturthi). 
 
 
 
Ingredients :
- 4 cup coarse whole wheat flour (गेहूं का आटा) 
- 1/4 cup Oil for shortening (moien) (आटा गूंधने के लिए तेल) 
- 1 cup Jaggery (गुड़) 
- 1 cup ghee (घी) 
- Dry fruits (मेवा) 
- Gond (Tragacanth Gum Herb) (गोंद) 
- Khaskhas (poppy seeds) (खसखस) 
- Oil for frying (तलने के लिए तेल) 
- Hot water for kneading (गर्म पानी)

Preparation : 
 
- Take coarse wheat flour (the one we use for Bhakri) in a large bowl and add Oil 
- Mix the wheat flour with oil 
- Add some Hot water in the mixture and do process as shown in video 
- Take some mixture in hand and prepare muthiya as shown here. 
- Now Take Oil in a pan and hit oil and deep fry Muthiya.
- Deep fry Muthiya till golden brown in colour 
- Now fry the Gund (Tragacanth Gum Herb) (गोंद). 
- Cut the fried Muthiyas into pieces to grind. 
- Sift Flour With a Strainer 
- Grind the fried Muthiya to get fine powder (Churma). 
- Sift With a Strainer 
- Heat ghee in a pan 
- While ghee is heating add Jaggery (Brown Sugar) (gud) in the Mixture and mix well. 
- Pour heated ghee into mixture and mix well. 
- Add dry fruits 
- Add Gund (Tragacanth Gum Herb) (गोंद) and mix well 
- Now make a round shape ball (laddu) from the Mixture. 
- Apply Khas khas (poppy seeds) 
- Churma laddu is ready to serve.
