How to make Fafda at home | Kathiyawadi breakfast fafda | फाफड़ा

Fafda Gathiya

Fafda is a very famous breakfast (snack) is state of Gujarat.

Monsoon special Gathiya / Fafda.


Fafda is made from Besan (chickpea flour) and fried into Oil to make it's test delicious and tasty.

In Gujarat served with many items like  Kadhi , Fried green chili , Salad , Onion , Raw papaya.



Ingredients :
- Besan  (Gram flour / chickpea flour)
- Ajwain (celery )
- Kali Mirch (Black pepper) powder
- Hing (asafoetida)
- Oil
- Salt
- Cooking soda
- Water
- Oil to fry.

Preparation:
- Take 1/2 cup of water and add Salt and cooking soda and mix it and remain it till 2 minute.
- Now take Besan (Gram flour) into bowl and add Ajvaine (ayamodakam) , Mari (Black pepper).
- Now add mixture of salt and cooking soda into bowl.
- Add 3-4 tbsp oil to soften better.
- Add some water and prepare better for Gathiya.
- Dough is ready.

- Fry some green chiilies to serve with Gathiya
- Add oil to dip fry Gathiya and hit pane.
- Apply technique as shown in video (Rub dough)to make Fafda Gathiya.
- Add Gathiya gentally into heated oil and start frying gathiya.
- Fry till Crispy and golden in color.
- Fafda is ready to serve.

- Serve with 'Fried green chili' OR 'Chutney' OR 'Salad' OR 'Kadhi' OR 'Tea'.
